I am a Sony man through and through and have successfully guided most of my family towards their cameras as well! My parents recently purchased a DSC W220 and it takes such crystal clear pics, I was amazed at the detail. After seeing this, I decided to upgrade from my 10mp to this guy at 14mp. I didn't have it long enough to really check everything out, all I know is that the picture quality was horrible! That crystal clear wow factor that I had anticipated was beaten back into the pipe dream it came from... the picture quality was better outdoors (high light), but still not acceptable! After three days of wasted vacation photos, I called to get my return authorization number! The only real difference that I can come up with (that would lead to the picture quality being so much worse than the 220) was the fact that this model does NOT have the Carl Zeiss lens??? Who knows, I just know that this is no where near the camera I was hoping for! DO NOT BUY!

Looks and feels nice, great zoom but, picture quality is bad.... 1 out of 3 pictures comes blurry...even if you move for a second after clicking you got a bad picture. Night time photos are worst. colors are changed in photos. outside photos come ok. Even with my old cyber shop i dont get blurry pics.
I used sony cyber shot 7.2Mp for 3 years now and was better than this one.... i would say for $200 you can get better camera.
I would not advise anyone to buy this camera.

I have owned Sony products for a long time and have always loved them, however, I sure wish I had logged on before buying this piece of junk! I agree with all the previous... SLOW to take pictures... out of FOCUS.. exposure POOR... take three pictures of EXACT same subject and you will have three different pictures. I will be taking the camera back to the store tomorrow. Do NOT buy this camera!

I got this camera from Sony Style Store and used only 3 hours. It stopped working. LCS Screen showed "Turn power off and on again!". I tried but not made it working. Looks like I wasted $200 now. Now, I do not trust Sony product any more (just like "Toyota").
I found the same camera for $180 with free shipping and bought it last week June 28, 2010
